About Me
I am a dedicated elementary educator currently working as a Special Education Assistant at John Ward Elementary in Newton, MA. I hold a BA in Elementary Education from Lasell University, along with my Elementary (1–6) and SEI certifications, following my student teaching placements at Ward, Haley Pilot, and Franklin schools. My extensive experience with children also includes my impactful roles at YMCA Camp Mahackeno and the Holway Early Childhood Center. I am currently in the process of obtaining a Master’s degree in Moderate Disabilities from Lasell University. I am driven by my lifelong passion for ensuring every student has the tools they need to succeed.
Teaching Philosophy
I believe that all students are capable of accessing education, and I am committed to providing the support, encouragement, care, and challenge they need to flourish. I know that students learn best when their physical needs are met and they feel safe; therefore, I use Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to anticipate and remove barriers and honor different learning styles.
